Montessori School of Laguna Beach - Field Trip to Tanaka Farms

The five year olds in my son's Montessori class went to Tanaka Farms yesterday. We went on a hay ride and learned all about organic farming and the fruits and vegetables they grow on the farm. We tasted vegetables right out of the ground too - there were green onions, bok choy, spinach, carrots, and sugar snap peas. Then the kids each picked their own basket of strawberries, and we were all able to eat as many as we liked as we picked them! What a great day - thank you Mrs. Somasundaram and Mrs. Sadaat for such a fabulous field trip, we'll cherish the memories forever...Scroll past the slideshow for a few of my favorite photos from the trip.

Random Thoughts - Today

A busy day, as usual w/ three little kids, and after getting thrown up on (the first time......Hayden's sick) I put the babies in the kitchen sink for a bath. A lot of thoughts run through my head as I look at this photo:

1. what precious little darlings, i love them so much.

2. not the greatest lighting.

3. i'd love to remodel.

4. the windows are dirty.

Ursula would tell you that she crawled across the finish line of this pregnancy, but she made it 37 weeks with 13 pounds of baby in her tummy. Pretty cool and they couldn't be any cuter!
