I'm so excited about our photo session! I created this site this site is designed to be the single location where all lilyblue photography information can be accessed — from beginning to end. hope you’ve had a chance to browse through my portfolio to get a feel of my style — simple, natural, no forced smiles, no need to perform for the camera. my ultimate goal with every session is to capture something that is beautiful, soulful, and real — something to be cherished a lifetime.

..for valuable consideration received, i grant to gillian crane photography (”the photographer”) the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission concerning any photographs that she has taken or may take of me or in which i may be included with others, to use, reuse, publish, and republish the photographs in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other material, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the internet, and for any purpose whatsoever, specifically including illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising and trade, without restriction as to alteration; and to use my name in connection with any use if she so chooses. i release and discharge the photographer from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy. this authorization and release shall also apply to the benefit of the heirs, legal representatives, licensees, and assignees of the photographer, as well as the person(s) for whom she took the photographs. i am a legally competent adult, and have the right to contract in my own name. i have read this document and fully understand its content. this release shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives and assigns.

..Session Information
Two session options are available to fi t your needs. Both include a disc of images, edited in photoshop and sized for printing 5x7 and smaller. Owning the .jpgs is soooo valuable, you’ll be able to print your own 5x7s and 4x6s -as often as you like - forever. You are free to make your own greeting cards and photo books, share on facebook, use in your kids’ school projects, etc. See the Terms and Conditions for more information.
Full Shoot
A one-hour photo session in Laguna Beach, the full shoot will capture your family as they are at this moment in time. We’ll get all of the photos in the mini shoot, and then some. Candid photos, the kids laughing, jumping, collecting seashells, being kids. We’ll be sure to get natural expressions all around. Your disc will include about 65 .jpgs, and when you choose your 10 favorite photos, I’ll edit those “to perfection” and include one 5x7 print of each in color and black and white: $550
Mini Shoot
A 30-minute photo session in Laguna Beach, the mini shoot was created to capture a few great shots to use in clients’ holiday cards. We’ll get a few family photos, some photos of your children together and a few individual shots of each child. Being abbreviated, a mini shoot may not be appropriate for everyone. Time restraints don’t allow much time for kids to “warm up,” so if you’re concerned about your child’s ‘cheesy’ smile, you may want to consider a full session. Likewise, if you have several children and/or children under 3, the mini shoot may not be for you. Your disc will include about 40 .jpgs, and when you choose your 5 favorite photos, I’ll edit
those “to perfection” and include one 5x7 print of each in color and black and white: $450

--What to wear
..Colors
Midtones photograph best, solid colored pastels tend to fade away, and if you can avoid wearing black and white, what would be ideal.
Pattern
Fabric with pattern ads interest to the photos, nothing too big or it distracts from the subject.
Texture
Fabric with texture is the best: linen, denim, cable-knit sweaters, tank tops w/ that ribbed fabric, waffle weaves, etc.
Newborn/Family Shoots
Tiny babies look best without clothes and for photos of mom and dad with the baby, either bare skin or simple, tank tops or plain solid colored t-shirts and jeans are great.
Family/Child/Maternity Shoots
--photo editing
..Photo editing is a two step process. The photos you see in your gallery have been edited globally, and will look
like the ‘before’ photos below. When you‘ve selected your 10 favorite photos, I’ll take them to the next level, and
edit them “to perfection”. Depending on the particular image, I may airbrush the skin, remove blemishes,
minimize wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes, brighten/sharpen the eyes, add a warm/fuzzy glow, and so on.
Your photos will be a combination of color, and sepia-toned images. I’ll ask you when we meet if you have any
preferences, and will keep that in mind when editing. Some photos look better in color and others in black and
white. Your 10 favorites will be edited in both color and black and white

..A 45 minute photo session in laguna beach for up to six people is $500. Included in your session fee is a cd of +/- 100 creatively edited .jpgs sized for printing 5x7 and smaller. Owning the .jpgs allows you to print as many copies of the images yourself as many times as you’d like for as long as you’d like - that is a big deal.
Print enlargements (over 5x7), canvases, brag books and other products are also available for purchase. In lieu of packages I offer ala carte print/product prices that are very affordable and include tiered discounts based on the total amount spent.
